Replacing Animal Experiments, Highlights and Headlines 1979-2009

We were delighted to welcome Dr Gill Langley, Science Director of the Dr Hadwen Trust, to Edinburgh on the 15^th May 2008 to speak at the Clive Holland Memorial Lecture. The fascinating talk, which touched on many of the success stories in replacing animals in research and testing since 1979, was a huge success and the event sold out fast. During the lecture, Dr Gill Langley explored how breakthroughs in such technologies have helped to save millions of animal and humans lives, and she reported on future upcoming developments in this exciting field of research.
